As a non-profit organization, our mission is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a deep-seated desire to provide a beacon of hope for those facing challenging circumstances.
At SHIELDSLA.ORG, we understand that homelessness is not a one-size-fits-all issue. That’s why we are dedicated to offering specialized services tailored to meet the unique needs of different groups within the homeless community. Our first location in Long Beach serves as a hub of support for men and women who are eager to reintegrate into the workforce, as well as single parents striving to rebuild their lives and provide stability for their children.
Our approach is holistic and comprehensive. From counseling and job assistance to daycare support for single parents and rehabilitation programs for those battling mental health challenges and substance abuse, we provide a range of services aimed at addressing the multifaceted needs of our clients. We believe that by offering a continuum of care, including access to affordable housing options, we can empower individuals to transition out of homelessness and towards a brighter future.
